Tyson Fury has stated that he feels like his “best is still yet to come” as the heavyweight prepares to fight Polish boxer Mariusz Wach.
Fury turns 38 next month and will take on Wach in Thailand in preparation for a clash against Anthony Joshua later in the year.
Joshua himself is also fighting over the weekend in a bout against Kristian Prenga in Saudi Arabia on Saturday.
The two Brits are expected to go head to head in November, with Wembley Stadium suggested as a potential venue.
And Fury, also known as the Gypsy King, is certain he has still got what it takes to box at the highest level.
Best yet to come
Fury has won multiple heavyweight titles over his career, but he’s convinced that he hasn’t reached his best form in the ring yet.
He said: “I paid the price in sweat, tears and blood and hours for over 20 years to be able to do this, and and I just feel truly blessed.
“I’m very happy that I’m 38 in a few weeks, that I’m still active and still going strong, and I still feel like the best is yet to come.
“Even at 38, I don’t feel like the world’s seeing the best Tyson Fury yet.”

Fury not underestimating Wach
Many people may see the upcoming fight against Wach as a warm-up to the fight with Joshua, but Fury says he’s not looking past Friday’s battle with the Pole.
The fight will also not be televised, which is unusual for a star like Fury, so fans will not be able to watch it live.
He added: “This fight is a dangerous fight.
“Mariusz is the same size as me, same weight as me. He’s had the same amount of fights, if not more than me.
“He’s been in there with the most elite-level champions out of two generations, two eras.
“Let me tell you, Mariusz Wach would pretty fist through Joshua’s opponent, whoever he is, ‘Mr Pringles’.
“This man would knock him spark out. He’s a real fighting man, but we’re not interested in other people.
“This is my show, and I’m not interested in what’s going on elsewhere with Joshua or [Deontay] Wilder or [Oleksandr] Usyk or anybody.
“This is about me and Mariusz. It’s not about anybody else.”
